Job Logging

Students reporting a fault

Students wanting to report a faulty PC can do so through our online job logging system.

If you require any assistance with using software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite please visit the Student ICT training pages.

If you have any other queries relating to the ICT provision at the University please refer to our online guidance documents in the first instance.

Students can also access support from the ICT helpdesk in a number of ways:

  • Visit the Information desk on the 1st floor of Fountains Learning Centre. If necessary they will refer you to one of our ICT technical team. Your first contact should however always be with the first floor desk.
  • E: helpdesk@yorksj.ac.uk
  • T: 01904 876696 (9am to 6pm Monday to Friday)

Staff reporting a fault

Staff wanting to report a problem with a faulty PC, printer or any other element of the University ICT provision can do so via our online job logging system. If you would like guidance on use of software applications these should be directed to our ICT Staff Development Officer. For further guidance on ICT Staff Training please visit our ICT Staff Development pages.

Staff can also access support from the ICT helpdesk in a number of other ways although anything that requires a member of the ICT staff visiting your PC should be requested through the job logging system.
