Connecting Your Own Equipment

York St John University uses a network access system which requires all users to have a York St John University user account before you can access the network with a personal device.

You are able to connect your own Device to the University network to access the internet in the various locations outlined below:

On campus

In residences

Restrictions

Do not use your own wireless routers anywhere on the campus as they will cause disruption to the University network. In residences where no wireless network is available, please speak to the networks team for further advice.

Further Support

Further assistance is available from the Information Desk in Fountains Learning Centre. Please be aware that we are unable to support Students' own equipment, although we may be able to direct you to a local provider.
