Public IM Connectivity
Public IM Connectivity enables York St John University users to
connect and collaborate with any Microsoft-based messenger address
(@live.co.uk, @hotmail.com, etc) in exactly the same way as
other Yorksj Lync users.
To add a Microsoft email address as a Lync contact simply type
the email address in to your 'Find a contact' box,
right-click on the contact and choose 'Pin to Frequent
Contacts'.
Once you have done this the contact you have added will receive
a notification to let them know you have added them as a
contact. They can then choose to add your contact address as
a contact in their respective Messenger application.

icq.com - As of June 10, 2011 ICQ was disconnected pursuant to AOLs
sale of ICQ to Digital Sky Technologies (DST).
