Staff Network Printing
Members of staff can print to any one of the networked printers
on site.
Connecting to a Network Printer
Click on the "Windows/Start Icon" then
"Devices and Printers"

On the Devices and Printers window select "Add a
Printer"

On the Add Printer window select "Add a network,
wireless or Bluetooth printer"

Select the printer you wish to install and
press Next. The print driver will be downloaded
and installed.

The next window confirms that the printer has been
installed. By default the option to make this printer the default
is selected. Adjust this option as necessary and press
Next.
Connecting to a Local Printer
- Click "Start" then "Printers and Faxes"
- Right click on your printer (usually identified by the make and
model)
- Choose "Set as Default Printer"
If you cannot see your printer in the Printers
and Faxes window it will need to be installed by a member of the IT
Helpdesk team. Please make a note of your printer make and model,
then contact the Helpdesk on extension 6696 or email helpdesk@yorksj.ac.uk with these
details.

the Printing FAQ. There is also a
Printing Trouble Shooter for the most
common printing related issues. If this still does not resolve your
issue then please don't hesitate to contact us.
