Music scores, CDs and sleeve notes

.Music scores

Note that in the case of music scores, when an editor, arranger, etc. is referenced the name is not written surname first.

  1. Composer
  2. Year of publication of the item you are using in round brackets
  3. Title of work, in bold, in italics or underlined followed by a full stop.
  4. 'Edited by' or 'Arranged by' or 'Scored by', etc. (if displayed) with first name then surname, followed by a full stop.
  5. Place of publication, followed by a comma,
  6. Publisher, followed by a full stop.
  • In-text citation:
  • The Concerto in A major employs the full range of the clarinet's register (Mozart 1959).
  • Full reference:
