Scripture
References to the Bible should include book (abbreviated),
chapter and verse - never a page number. Traditionally a colon is
used between chapter and verse:
- Isaiah 4:5-6.
- Ruth 1:22.
- Luke 2:7-16.
Bible references are not usually included in your bibliography
but if you do want to reference the Bible you have been using, then
follow the rules for a book.
Treat references to the sacred and highly revered works of other
religious traditions similarly to those of the Judeo-Christian
tradition.
