Using the Athens login
The Off campus access page allows you to log in
to Athens. However, if you access a resource that you do not find
through the library catalogue or eJournal finder, you may not be
logged into the resource. The best course of action at this point
is to check the library catalogue as this will give you information
of which issues of the journal (if any) are available
electronically and through which suppliers.
However, if you wish to try to log in via a journal's Athens
login page, you will need to do the following:
1. Click on the Athens login link.
2. The Athens authentication point will appear. Do
not enter your username and password, instead click on "Alternative
login".
3. In Alternative login you will see a list of
organisations. Either:
Use the quick search box to search for York
St. John
OR
Scroll down and click
on Universities, to open up the list
4. Select York St John University.
5. You will be taken to the York St John login page.
Enter your university username and password as prompted.
If once logged in, you are still unable to view material,
please check the library catalogue for further
information. If you encounter any difficulties, please
