Databases for Business and Management
When accessing these databases from outside the University
campus, you will need to log in using your University network

Full text of hundreds of business and Business & Management
academic journals and magazines, as part of general subject
coverage. Also provides access to full text of newspaper articles
from most British daily papers including the Financial Times and a
small number of US newspapers such as the New York Times. Easy to
search and retrieve the full text. Some articles just have
abstracts available.
Business & Management and library and information service
journals database. ATHENS password required when accessing from
outside the University which is also your password for the
University computer network. Access to the full text of journal
articles in the subject of Business & Management.
Company and industry information worldwide. Direct access within
the University and use your university network login and password
when accessing off-campus. Access to fully downloadable country,
company and industrial profiles, current business news and market
research reports. Provides the educational community with the same
data as major corporations. Many of the company profiles include
SWOT analyses and provide a more objective view of a company's
performance than is possible via Internet websites. Extra search
features are available to compare economical and business data
between countries worldwide and a separate database provides
current information on mergers and acquisitions. Also lists
companies in the order they appear in world stock exchange
lists.
Mintel
Market reports for the UK market in four main
categories or streams: E-commerce, Technology, Leisure and the
Travel Industry. Also includes Library Horizons which combines
archive reports from all sections of Mintel for 10 years up to
2009. Fully searchable reports including tables, survey data and
market information which can be downloaded into Powerpoint
presentations, Word documents and spreadsheets.
PsycINFO
(Database available on networked Library workstations). Produced
by the American Psychological Association and accessed via EBSCO
host, this database indexes and abstracts journal articles,
chapters, books, dissertations and reports on psychology and
related fields from 1887 onwards. Useful source for tracing
articles about the psychological aspects of business and Business
& Management.
