University library
You must access our electronic
resources via our library website at: http://library.yorksj.ac.uk/
Help with logging in to York St
John library resources
Your password access to databases and eBooks only works if
you use our library website links to logon. When you click on a
link to a resource from our library catalogue, or to a database
from our website, you will be prompted for your username and
password at that point.
Remember that your username and password for the online library
is the same as the username and password that you used
to register with York St John University. If you are
experiencing problems with your password, please go to this link:

Different types of resources
Electronic books –
access via the library catalogue at the top of the main library
homepage using the internet link (=URL) above. Search for the
book’s title or for the subject keywords you want and use the
ebook limit to go to the electronic books only.

Electronic
journals
Use the library catalogue to type in
the journal title and limit to journals format using the left hand
menu if necessary. You can then use the link from the detailed
journal record to get to the electronic version.

Databases of electronic
journals such as Emerald – access the library homepage and
then click on Databases link. You will be prompted for your
username and password as part of the process. Our password access
to databases such as Emerald is activated by York St John’s link to
Emerald not through the commercial site for Emerald.
