Use these databases to search for systematic reviews and
randomised controlled trials (i.e. when you are looking for
information on the effectiveness of an intervention).

Cochrane Library
Aims to provide high quality evidence about the effectiveness of
health care interventions. Contains six databases covering
systematic reviews (full text); abstracts of reviews of
effectiveness; controlled trials register; methodology register,
health technology assessments (for access to the full text of
assessments see: http://www.hta.ac.uk/research/index.shtml)
and economic evaluation.
