Invaluable resource for allied health covering a wide range
variety of topics including occupational therapy, physiotherapy,
rehabilitation, palliative care and speech & language therapy.
Contains references to articles from 500 journals, mainly European
in origin. In addition to basic bibliographic information, records
from 1995 onwards also include an abstract. Produced by the Health
Care Information Service of the British Library.
Indexes and abstracts nursing and related literature, especially
periodical articles, from 1981. Detailed indexing of nearly 3000
journals, including major Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy
titles. Contains over 1,000,000 records in total. US material tends
to predominate, but British publications are also covered.
The world's leading index to the journal literature of medicine
covering a huge range of titles (19,000 sources are currently
listed) from 1950 onwards. Not a primary source for Allied Health,
but still very valuable, especially for clinically related
material.
NHS Evidence is a service that enables access to authoritative
clinical and non-clinical evidence and best practice through a
web-based portal. To access journals and databases included
in National Core Content on NHS Evidence you will need an NHS

The PILOTS bibliographic database, covering the Published
International Literature On Traumatic Stress, is produced at the
headquarters of the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder in White River Junction, Vermont. The PILOTS database is
sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Its goal is
to include citations to all literature on post-traumatic stress
disorder (PTSD) and other mental-health sequelae of traumatic
events.
Produced by the American Psychological Association, this
database indexes and abstracts journal articles, chapters, books,
dissertations and reports on psychology and related fields from
1887 onwards from over 2,200 journals.

SocINDEX with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive and
highest quality sociology research database. The database features
more than 2.1 million records and full text for more than 860
journals dating back to 1908. This database also includes full text
for more than 830 books and monographs, and full text for over
16,800 conference papers.
