English language entry requirements
The English language entry requirements for
Bachelors and Masters programmes for students whose first language
is not English are normally as follows:
- IELTS - 6.0 overall, with minimum 5.5 in any
area
- TOEFL iBT:
Listening - 17
Reading - 18
Speaking - 20
Writing - 17
- PTE (Pearson Test of English):
Listening - 51
Reading - 51
Writing - 51
Speaking - 51
A GCSE or iGCSE in English (minimum ‘C’ grade)
can be accepted instead of IELTS or TOEFL.
We also accept Cambridge FCE for entry onto
the International Foundation Programme, and Cambridge CAE or CPE
for entry onto the 3-year and Masters degree programmes.
Higher levels may be required for certain
courses.*
Depending on your English language level, you
can enter academic pathway courses leading on to Bachelors or
Masters programmes.
