Exchange programme: what will I study?

How your credits transferStudent using a PC

You can study for semester 1 (September - January), semester 2 (February - June) or the whole academic year (September - June).

Each semester's study awards you 60 York St John University credits.  Our partners in the USA validate this as 15 US credits.  European universities recognise it as 30 ECTS credits.  You choose three modules in each semester from across the range of modules on offer.

Our flexible modular structure means that you can choose the three modules most suitable to meet the requirements of your homes university, dependant on timetable availability.

At the end of your period of study

  • You'll be asked to complete a quittance form to sign off modules, books and room check.
  • A questionnaire will be sent for you to complete to help us further enhance the Study Abroad experience.
  • You will be sent a full transcript of records to you or your home institution (where applicable) after the York St John Exam Board.  This will state the modules you have taken, the credits awarded and the marks you have obtained.
