Accommodation
We are pleased to offer our YSJ International students the
following choices of accommodation:
Homestay accommodation
Most of our students prefer to stay with one
of our carefully selected and inspected Homestay hosts. Our hosts
welcome international students from all over the world and provide
the care and support that students really need when they are far
from home.
Homestay accommodation will give you the
opportunity to practise your English outside the classroom and
learn about British family life. Your host will provide you with a
single study bedroom, breakfast and an evening meal, and with lunch
at weekends.
We do our best to match our students to the
right homestay host, by considering your interests, hobbies, and
preferences and those of the host.
The fee for Homestay accommodation is £126 per
week.
Please note that unfortunately, homestay
accommodation is not available for students studying on BA or MA
degree programmes.
University halls of residence
At
certain times of the year we are able to offer accommodation in one
of our halls of residence. One hall of residence on our campus
is semi-catered and living here you would take all of your meals in
the main University dining room. The other accommodation sites are
self-catered, where you would share a kitchen with 3 or 4 other
students and prepare your own meals. All self-catered accommodation
is situated close by to the University and the city centre, within
10–15 minutes walk.
In all of the residences students have a
single bedroom with an en-suite or shared bathroom, a shared
kitchen and Internet access.

Guest house accommodation
If you are studying with us for a shorter time
and prefer to stay at a local hotel or guest house we shall be
happy to help you with booking accommodation at one of the hotels
or guest houses close to the centre.
