Learning and Teaching Development team offers academic
professional development support by delivering a range
of staff development events, activities and one to one
support.
Assessment and
Feedback Workshops >>
Three
different workshops related to assessment will be provided in
semester two. Each of them will run twice to provide opportunity
for all staff to engage.
The Breakfast Café meetings are run on a monthly basis. The
discussions usually focus on sharing experiences and outcomes of
action research projects from across the University.
Learning and Teaching lunchtime forums

The Learning and Teaching
lunchtime forums offer staff an opportunity to hear about
curriculum innovations that are happening across York St John
University and to network with others. Find out when and what's
coming up at the next forum.
Over the last two years a range of workshops
have been facilitated by leaders in learning, teaching and
assessment including, Professor Mick Healey, Professor Royce
Sadler, Professor Phil Race, Professor Ranald Macdonald; Jenny
Moon, Dr Anne Brockbank. Find out what’s coming up this

The CPD framework can assist
staff to gain a qualification to teach and for experienced staff
provide opportunities to evidence and gain sector wide recognition
of your leadership in learning teaching and assessment. This
section provides more information about the framework.
Staff Writing Sessions

Staff Writing Sessions are a series of structured workshops
which will provide staff with an opportunity to write with
colleagues for a 2 hour slot in a supportive atmosphere.
Bespoke staff development workshops
Learning and Teaching Development helps
Programmes, Subjects or Faculties who have specific academic
development needs. This may include addressing specific team needs,
e.g. in relation to developing assessment and feedback processes,
providing support to develop e-Marking, running curriculum
review days for revalidation, facilitating dialogue days for staff

One-to-one support and advice
Have you got a good idea that you need help
with? Do you need some support with thinking through a pedagogic
research project? Would you like help with the use of a new
