York St John University offers a vibrant suite of practice-based
taught postgraduate programmes in the creative arts. These Master
programmes are designed for practitioner orientated study and
research, providing you with the opportunity to develop your
creative practice and reflective thinking within a supportive
community of artists and a robust culture of enquiry.
Our MA programmes each share elements of delivery, providing you
with opportunities for cross-disciplinary awareness, practices and
collaboration. The postgraduate programme also hosts an active
series of lunchtime artists' talks and visiting lecturers, with
previous speakers including Andre Stitt, Gary Winters, Adrian
Howells, Tim Wheeler and Mat Fraser among others. As a result York
St John University's postgraduate creative practice programmes
offer a unique opportunity to work in a cross-disciplinary and
practice-based environment.
Whatever your particular programme, at the heart of your studies
will be your own individual practice and discipline specific
modules. For further information about each of the programmes
