MA International Business
The Course Programme Structure Staff Profiles Why YSJ ?

Today’s economy is global. In a world of integrated markets and multinational business, studying international business is a good way of learning about the contemporary world of business and preparing yourself for employment. This programme covers a wide range of topics and areas of study, and you will be provided with opportunities to develop skills relevant to international management. These skills are put to the test during the Project Management module, where you will be working with the MBA students as project team members for one term, developing a live project with local and international businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity to put your international business knowledge to the test in a real-world scenario.

What qualifications do I need to apply?

Candidates for entry to the MA programme must normally possess:

  1. UK/EU students will be able to enter the programme directly in accordance with normal entry requirements for MA programmes (a first degree achieved at Class 2:2 or above from an approved University or Institution) or possess an equivalent qualification.
  2. In addition to the qualifications above, Non-UK/EU students whose first language is not English will be required to achieve IELTS 6 or above with no less than Band 6 in the writing skills, or equivalents accepted by the University.

APEL

Where applicants do not meet the stated entry requirements above, the University APEL policy may be utilised for entry to the programme where necessary and appropriate. The programme may use this system to allow entry for post-experience professionals who are over 21 years of age and who have been in management for at least 2 years. This is likely to involve a submission of evidence of professional competence, (an assignment to the Head of Programme) and an interview as part of the recruitment process.
