Dr Tina Harness
Head of Business Management
Tina has 10 years postgraduate and undergraduate
university teaching experience both in the UK and overseas. Her
specialist teaching areas include HR Management, Organisational
Behaviour and Research Methods. Her industrial experience was
gained in the energy industry and the NHS working in HR Management
roles. Tina’s PhD (Huddersfield University) explored the
implementation of strategic human resource management in a cross
section of UK businesses. Currently her research interests comprise
Strategic HR Management and Relationship Marketing.
Chris Mortimer
Head of Programme, MBA and MA suite
Chris’s industrial experience has been gained
over 14 years working in manufacturing across the UK, with
particular involvement in cultural change management and the
implementation of continuous improvement. She has four years
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience, together with
lecturing in partner universities in Pakistan. Her specialist
teaching areas are leadership and management development and
practice, operations management, project management, strategy and
supporting entrepreneurial businesses. At present Chris is
completing her PhD dealing with the social construction of business
leadership. Current research interests include the interface
between business leadership and society. She is also undertaking
consultancy work within the Museum sector, examining current and
future leadership styles, needs and practice.
