Putting Problem-Based Learning into Practice

This is a follow up to the Introduction to Problem-based learning (PBL)

This workshop will explore how to facilitate a Problem-based learning session and how to develop Problem-based learning "triggers". Participants will have the opportunity to consider how they might use Problem-based learning within their own curriculum and consider what needs to be presented to students as a trigger/scenario.

Biography

Dr Jane Cronin-Davis has experience of using this approach to teaching pre-registration physiotherapy and occupational therapy masters level students. She has recently conducted a joint research project with Dr Matthew Molineux and Dr Karen Stagnitti to evaluate a PBL programme in preparing graduates for professional practice. Jane has been teaching in higher education for over eight years and works as a consulting occupational therapist in mental health settings.
