Aim

To encourage managers to consider the professional expectation of their position at York St John University and the relationships they have with their team by exploring how their own behaviour and approach can influence the effectiveness and welfare of their team      

Learning Outcomes

  • To consider the role and responsibility of a professional manager at York St John University
  • To build an awareness of how management style and behaviour can impact on relationships and performance.
  • To review different approaches to managing task and relationships  
  • Consider your own performance and development as a manager

You may wish to apply for exemption from ‘The Professional Managers’ course based on your prior learning, achievement or qualifications.

To do these please complete the application for exemption form stating how your previous experience meets the stated learning outcomes of this course.

Once complete your manager will need to authorise your request and you will need to submit this document to the staff development department.
