In the digital era, when information is so easily copied, copyright has become something of a bogeyman in Higher Education where it is usually bound up with plagiarism. Copyright is literally the right given to the creator of an artistic work to copy that work and distribute the copies for recompense. This session will outline the main issues regarding copyright in Higher Education and give guidance so that you and your students can avoid infringing anyone else’s copyright.
