Everyone with a web site wants to keep track of how effective it is and who is viewing the content. This workshop shows you how to use the leading free tool to find out.

Google Analytics is probably the most popular method of monitoring web site usage today. However it is all too easy to simply accept the excellent graphical reports superficially without appreciating that with some simple configuration you can gain a real understanding of how your site is being used and which parts are most successful. This workshop explains how to get the most from the web's most popular visitor analysis tool.

  • Customising the interface and sharing reports
  • Segmenting traffic and creating custom reports
  • Measuring the impact of social web interactions
  • Setting up goals and funnel visualisations

By the end of the workshop participants will have

  • Reviewed all practical aspects of setting up and using Google Analytics
