3.20. Entry with advanced standing
3.20.1 The University makes provision for
entry to its programmes of study with advanced standing on the
basis of Accredited Prior Learning (APL) or Accredited Prior
Experiential Learning (APEL).
3.20.2 The University will normally only
consider an application for advanced standing on the basis of APL
or APEL if made at the time of application. The onus is on the
applicant to produce material to show that s/he has achieved the
learning outcomes of the course to enable exemptions to be granted.
The procedure for the making and considering of applications
involving APL or APEL are set out in the University Policy on
Consideration of applications from students not offering
standard school leaving qualifications.
3.20.3 Only results obtained from York St John
University will be used to calculated degree classification
3.21. Direct Entry to the final level of a degree
programme
3.21.1 Final year
entry may be considered for those presenting suitable
qualifications, and will be considered under the University Policy
on Consideration of applications from students not offering
standard school leaving qualifications.
3.21.2 Only results
obtained from York St John University will be used to calculated
degree classification.
