3.8. Processing of applications
3.81. Once an
application form has been received in York St John University it is
initially processed by trained Admissions staff. This process
highlights relevant pieces of information on the application form
for the benefit of the selectors, as well as ensuring that minimum
entry criteria are met.
3.82. Applicants whose
form suggests there us a query around their fee status are
highlighted and sent a ‘Fee Status Questionnaire’ to complete.
3.83. Those who fail to
meet the minimum entry criteria and do not qualify for alternative
routes into the institution are rejected at this stage. The
decision is conveyed to the applicant by letter, including details
of the reason for the application being unsuccessful.
3.84. Applications are
then passed to the Selectors to make a decision on entry
