10.40am Welcome presentation
30 minute presentation on York St John University
including information on finance, admissions and The Students’
Union.
11.15am Campus Tour
A chance to view our superb facilities and speak
to current students here at York St John.
12.00 noon Lunch
1.00pm Subject interviews
Applicants will be handed over to Heads of
Programme for the individual subject interviews.
5.00pm (approx.)

PGCE Primary Full & Part Time
8.45am Arrive
Please make your way to the main reception in
the De Grey building, where you will be collected and
taken to the registration room.
9.00am Welcome presentation
Brief introduction to the programme.
9.30am Written / subject knowledge tests
Following the tests you will be informed of
the group tasks, split into groups and given a sheet detailing your
individual interview time and when you need to have your CRB and
certificate documents checked.
10.30am - 11.30am
Half the candidates will do their group task
whilst the other half has a campus tour and tea / coffee break.
11.30am - 12.30am
Half the candidates will do their group task
whilst the other half has a campus tour and tea / coffee break.
12.30pm Lunch
1.15pm Individual interviews
You should ensure that you arrive at the
interview room at least five minutes before your allocated
time. Interviews will last for approximately 15 minutes and
you will be interviewed by one, sometimes two, member of the
panel.

MSc Physiotherapy
You will be collected from the waiting area stated on your
interview invitation and taken to the registration room. You will
need to bring with you original certificates and ID as stated on
the interview instructions.
Welcome Presentation
Brief introduction from the Head of Programme and opportunity to
ask questions about the programme and York St John University.
Campus and Faculty Tour Including the physiotherapy labs and
teaching rooms.
Individual Interviews
Individual interviews will last for approximately 15 minutes and
will be conducted by two lecturers from the academic team.
Interview times will be allocated on the day with consideration
given to candidates travelling from outside York.
Candidates will be notified by email regarding the panel’s
decision within two weeks of the interview. The decision will be
either to reject or offer a place.
All offers of a place are conditional and subject to an enhanced
DBS check and satisfactory medical clearance.
