Seeing your young adult leave for
University can be challenging for Parents/Carers on a number of
different levels but these pages are here to help you with useful
hints and tips.
We are always eager to engage with
Parent/Carers but as part of students education we are also looking
to help develop them as individuals and this includes promoting
responsibility.
We appreciate that as a Parent/Carer
you want to be involved with all aspects of student life but
we cannot and will not discuss any issues involving particular
individuals without the express consent of that individual.
Students at York St John are adults and as such have the right to
have their personal information handled in accordance with data
protection legislation and all details of students are dealt with
in the strictest of confidence.
These pages are here to help you as a
Parent/Carer know what support is available here at York St John so
you can support students in getting information, advice
and guidance when they need it.

you in helping students prepare for University and making sure
they have everything they need. We also have
