CPD Courses
In addition to our coach and exercise industry courses YSJActive
also hold a range of CPD (continuing professional
development) courses aimed at helping you improve your CV,
knowledge, skills and employability.
We also run a number of workshops throughout the year which are
open to the public and bookable through CoachingNYSport;
please see their website for workshop details.
To book on to any of the courses please visit YSJActive at
Foss Reception. Payment is required at the time of
booking. If the course is full a reserve list will be
available, there is no charge to be added to the list and you will
be contacted if a place become available. Please note that
some of these courses are open to those who are not students
or staff at York St John University; this is indicated in
the availability column. Unless indicated otherwise courses
are for YSJU Students and staff only.

Please note that by signing up for a course you are confirming that
you understand and agree to the following:
1) If you are not able to attend a course you
have enrolled for you will only be able to obtain a refund if your
space is filled (mitigating circumstances will be considered on a
case-by-case basis). A minimum of five working days
notice is required if you wish for us to attempt to fill your
place*.
2) You consent to photographs being taken during
the course and for them to be used for publicity purposes across
all forms of media, as deemed appropriate by YSJActive/York St John
University and the course provider.
3)
You consent to your details being sent to the sport’s national
governing body or the course provider, if applicable.
* Staff will make every
attempt to fill your place if given the notice required.
However, we cannot guarantee that this will be successful and
therefore you may not be entitled to a refund if you can no longer
attend the course.
