Gifted and Talented Camps
YSJActive are passionate about recognising and
helping to develop sports-related talent.
In order to achieve this we regularly host a
range of day
events and camps for school and college
students. Our previous camps have focused on sports science
and sport specific activities incorporating skill development and
knowledge exchange. Day events have covered sports psychology,
nutrition and strength and conditioning.
We are able to cover a wide range of topics
and sports and accommodate large groups in our excellent facilities
located in the heart of York. We are also able to deliver
these at your venue.

provide a number of non-residential sport and physical activity
camps for children 6-18 years old.
We offer a range of camps to accommodate all children, taking into
account sporting interests, current levels of physical activity and

competent coaches and sport scientists from our student body.
Multi-Skill Sports Camps
Where the focus lies on developing all aspects
of your child’s skill and movement patterns, not concentrating on
one particular sport. Ideal for young children (6-11 years old) who
love a number of different sports and those who have bags of energy
to use up during the summer period!
Introduction to Fitness Camps
This camp is a perfect starting
point for anyone 11–18 years old who isn’t currently physically
active. Government guidelines suggest that all children over the
age of 11 should take part in physical activity on a daily basis.
This camp acts as an educational platform to guide and inform
children of how they can meet these targets. It provides a unique
opportunity to learn how to get fit whilst trying out some exciting
activities like negotiating obstacle courses, ducking and diving in
dodgeball class and speeding around during wheelchair
Advanced Sports Fitness
For anyone 15-18 years old who
is serious about their sport! Whether it is football, rugby,
badminton or dance, this camp will take you through your paces and
educate you on how to improve your performance by training
your physical fitness. Speed, strength, endurance, agility, balance
and power are all elements that play a huge role in all sports
performance and this camp will show you how to train each of these
specifically for your chosen sport.
On occasion, YSJActive team up with our
local and regional sports club partners and offer sports specific
camps which focus on developing physical fitness alongside
