The David Hope RE Centre

The David Hope RE Centre in York is one of the major religious education resource centres in the UK.

The RE Centre provides a wealth of resources and a consultancy service for teachers and head teachers in both faith and community schools and serves pupils, students, faith leaders, youth workers and others involved in religious education both within their own faith community and in the wider community.

How to use the centre

The RE Centre resources are found in the library catalogue – do a search for the items you need and it will tell you where to find them. As a rough guide, educational theory and practice texts are shelved in the 370s in the normal collection, and artefact sacks and other classroom resources are in the school library. Both of these sections are on the first floor of the library, in the Fountains building.
