Our Student Enterprise Week is for students in the early stages of the entrepreneurial journey.

Hear from experts, network with other enterpreneurs, and build your knowledge, skills and confidence.

Win a mentoring package!

Win a bespoke mentoring package during Student Enterprise Week. Winning students will work towards their enterprise goals with an expert mentor.

Meet the mentors

Mentor package

Sessions: 2 sessions (90 minutes per session)

The first session will focus on your ideas and goals, and what will help you to achieve them.

The second session will explore how you are progressing, what you've learnt and what's next.

Sessions will be tailored to the individual. Topics could include gaining confidence, how to network, presentations and more!

About the mentor

With a background in economic development, strategy and business growth, Paula is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for driving and scaling businesses. Paula set up her first business, a consultancy, in the early 1990s. She grew it to an international business, winning contracts across central and eastern Europe and in China.

Passionate about helping business succeed, Paula's skills lie in developing projects, often with international ambition. She has a start-up programme for female founders and has a particular interest in helping women to succeed. Clients include businesses, universities, public bodies and social enterprises.

Paula is a judge on the Asian Northern Power List 2022 and an Executive in Residence at Sheffield Hallam University.

Sessions will be tailored to the individual.

About the mentor

Frank Duffy has extensive experience in the business world, from being founder and managing director of Shuropody Ltd and Original Penguin to being the Group CEO of Dr. Martens.

He is passionate about the necessity to integrate an organisation into the needs of the consumer, and is clear thinking with strong leadership skills and a 'hands-on' managerial approach. Frank also has the ability to manage change and growth within varying economic environments.

Mentor package

Sessions: An initial half day session, followed by 2 hours of support per month for 6 months

This package will be tailored to fit your enterprise.

An initial half day session will go through the answers to your enterprise questions. Following this, you will get a 6 month period of support. You can have up to 2 hours support per month, which can be as a single session or as quick advice calls.
