We want all students to feel at home in our accommodation at York St John University, and we are committed to working with students to ensure they have the best experience while living and studying with us.
The type of assistance we can offer ranges from allocation of a fully wheelchair accessible room to minor alterations such as supplying a fridge for medication or making sure you have the choice of an ensuite bathroom if you need one for a specific reason.
Depending on the complexity of your needs, the Accommodation Team will work with the Disability Advice Team throughout the application process, to make sure you are placed in the most suitable accommodation.
At York St John University, we ask that students who have additional requirements relating to their accommodation make us aware during the application process. We will then contact you with a more detailed questionnaire to assess how we can best assist you. The earlier we are made aware of your requirements the better, as this gives us more time to help you.
