Case study

2nd Year Media Production and Journalism, Doncaster

The change from a quiet little rural area to York was a big step for me, but it’s been something I’ve really enjoyed and capitalised on. At this point right now, I know I’m going to stay here even after my degree because I love York.

You meet people here who you know are going to be friends for life. It is just one proper big family and I’ve loved being a part of it.

When I look back at the person I was when I started University, versus who I am today, it’s crazy to think how different it is. To see how far I’ve grown; from the quiet first year who stuck with one friendship group, to now having a bunch of different groups who I all love - it’s such a huge jump. Being part of Men’s Football for me was a massive experience that has shaped my time here at YSJ for the better, and I’m so looking forward to what the future has to offer. I couldn’t think of a better place to be at than YSJ.
