Chronic insomnia affects every aspect of a person’s life. When you are chronically tired, how much harder is life? How much harder is it to engage with services or treatments?
In this workshop you will learn advanced evidence based interventions to help clients overcome their insomnia and restore normal sleeping patterns.

Health and social care professionals who work with individual clients who wish to enhance their range psychological skills and interventions around insomnia and poor sleep patterns.

Attendees should have a greater understanding about chronic insomnia and its effects on physical, psychological and emotions systems and how by reducing the impact of insomnia, their clients will have more physical and mental resources to create meaningful change.

Clients/patients should hopefully benefit by the increased range of psychological interventions available to them and their sleep disorder. If the client is able to have restful and restorative sleep then they will be abler to engage in other treatments/services.

Course leader biographies
Matthew Cole is BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who has been in practice for nearly 30 years. He has worked for a range of organisations including the NHS, the MOD, mental health charities and the private sector. He has worked with a vast range of individuals, groups and organisations using CBT based interventions as the agent of change.
