Experiential Introduction to Mindfulness Short course

Do you find it hard to switch off from work?  Do you have racing thoughts at night time?  Do you feel overwhelmed and stressed?

Mindfulness is a way to help you stand back from your thoughts and to gain some calm in the otherwise frantic world. Once you have learnt these skills you can then begin to use them in your everyday working practice with your colleagues and others.

Health and social care professionals who work with individual clients who wish to enhance their range of psychological skills and interventions.

Attendees should have a great understanding about the dynamic interplay between thoughts, feelings and behaviours which will provide greater insight into their own and others psychological process’s through the use of experimental practice and reflection on the practice of mindfulness.

Clients and patients should hopefully benefit by the increased range of psychological interventions that the clinician can offer which will impact hugely on recovery and quality of life. Course leader biographies

Matthew Cole is BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who has been in practice for nearly 30 years. He has worked for a range of organisations including the NHS, the MOD, mental health charities and the private sector. He has worked with a vast range of individuals, groups and organisations using CBT based interventions as the agent of change.
