How long is the programme?

45 tutored guided learning hours and 96 independent learning hours, including the completion of individual learning tasks. The guided learning hours will take place on 5 full days of tutor led delivery at York St John University, which will include practical activity and classroom based theory. Although you will be expected to carry out some work within your own time, additional release time will be needed for some of the tasks, including a half day prior to the course to complete a pre-course task and a half day to complete final assessment tasks.

How will I be assessed?

Course assessment will be a mixture of formal written assignments, group based tasks and group discussion. You will also be required to arrange two observations of your PE teaching by a colleague or senior leader within your own school during the course.
