What will I learn?
This one day experiential taster day will introduce you to the concept of mindfulness and to some of its most common practices. These will run throughout the day and will give the individual a greater understanding and appreciation of mindfulness and its application to their own life.
The attendees will experience mindfulness practices that they can then use in daily life to reduce their stress levels and become more present focused. In addition, they may wish to continue to learn about mindfulness on the two-day workshop or other medium.
Who should attend?
Open to all Health and Social Care Professionals
What difference will it make to attendees?
The attendees, if they practice the exercises, will be less stressed in all domains of living, which will have a positive impact on work efficiency and effectiveness, plus improve their ability to concentrate, focus and being present.
What difference will it make to my work?
The attendees will become more focused at work, better able to concentrate and more resilient to stress.
What difference will it make to my employer?
Current research suggests that a more mindful workforce is a more productive workforce, who are less stressed and more creative. They also look after themselves more effectively which may have an impact on staff illness levels.
