Course overview

Successfully completing our Social Sciences Foundation Year route allows you to progress to the full degree course that you choose when you apply to us. This foundation year allows you to develop your knowledge both within and beyond your chosen area of study, as well as building up the vital academic skills that you will need to be successful at degree level. You will be taught alongside other students studying the Foundation Year from Humanities, Religion & Philosophy, Languages & Linguistics, Education and Media.

You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of academic disciplines, encountering a wide range of subjects and ideas.

You will engage in a range of teaching and learning activities, including lectures, seminars, group work, workshops and online learning.
