Parking on our Lord Mayor’s Walk campus is available for visitors with a Blue Badge only. We offer a limited number of accessible bays. which cannot be reserved in advance
There are also 13 accessible bays for Blue Badge holders at Union Terrace Car Park, which is a short distance from our Lord Mayors Walk Campus.
All our events are wheelchair accessible.
Assistance dogs are welcome. Find further information about bringing an assistance dog.
Temple Hall, the Fountains Lecture Theatre and De Grey Theatre have induction loops. If you require a hearing loop for an event that is taking place in any other room on campus then please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
Sign language interpreters and real-time captioning may be requested in advance. Please contact us as soon as possible (ideally at least 3 weeks before the date of the event) if you require either BSL interpretation or captioning. We will try our best but cannot guarantee provision.
All University buildings have a gender neutral, accessible toilet on each floor. Additional gender-neutral toilets are situated at the back of the dining room in Holgate.
There is a private room for breastfeeding and nappy changing in Holgate. A key for this space can be obtained from Holgate reception during office hours.
