We are pleased to invite you to a day of celebration and discussion around the findings of the Converge evaluation project.

Over 2020-22 this project has explored the impact of Converge, which offers free university education to local people in York and Newcastle with experience of mental ill health, on everyone who uses or supports it.

As well as discussions on innovative models of knowledge exchange, community mental health practice, university outreach, co-production and peer involvement in research, and the role of the arts in health and wellbeing, we will also present a new film from Out of Character, Converge’s theatre company, two student art commissions, and a special performance from the Converge Choir, Communitas. It will be a lively day, with each panel formed of people from across the community sector, universities, arts partners and policy organisations – each of whom we are commissioning to propose short, snappy, provocative responses to the main findings.
