Kerry is part of the children's workforce and has worked with children and young people in the education sector for over ten years. She holds a Post-16 PGCE and has taught students on vocational and degree programmes related to Child Studies in the FE sector. She currently works in nurseries as an Early Years Practitioner and also as a Specialist Mentor at the University of York.
In 2012 she achieved a Foundation Degree in Supporting Learning at York St John University followed by a BA (Hons) Degree in Children, Young People and Families in 2013. She has recently finished studying for her MA in Social Research at the University of York. Her MA research dissertation focused on men's experiences of working in the Early Years sector. Her research interests are education, early years, children, families and issues relating to equality and she has previously been involved in charity research with families.
Kerry has a personal interest in music having played the clarinet and piano since childhood and taught the piano and keyboard for several years. She currently plays the piano for children's ballet classes.
