Course overview

The Teaching Knowledge Tests provides evidence of how you're developing as a teacher.

The TKT  assesses your knowledge with a series of modular tests. Each one focuses on a specific area of English Language teaching. You can take as many modules as you want, over a period of time that suits you.

For each module you complete, you'll receive a Cambridge English certificate. After taking the TKT, you can take other Cambridge English teaching qualifications. These could include ICELT and Delta.

With a TKT, you show employers that you:

  • Have an understanding of different teaching methods.
  • Are able to use teaching resources effectively.
  • Understand how to plan lessons.
  • Can adapt classroom management techniques to meet the needs of each class.
