The University of Education

Salzburg, Austria

The Salzburg University of Education Stefan Zweig (PH Salzburg) was founded in 2007, and is a centre of education, training, and further education for teachers in Austria.

The university shares its name with the writer Stefan Zweig, who felt one’s teaching ideas should be put into practice and be reflected upon.
The University of Education focuses on diverse and inclusive education, focusing on comprehensive education. As well as modern pedagogical impulses, regional and international networks and the art of imparting knowledge and skills. This leads to opportunities for all backgrounds.

The focus is on training teachers for the future and putting theory into practice. They promote you to develop your thinking, feeling, reflection, willing, acting, maturity and independence.

The university is within the Salzburg centre itself – the city is full of history, old towns, and beautiful scenery. There is a strong art scene, as well as small independent shops and plenty of bikes.
