Police registration
Information for London Campus students about whether you need to register with the police after arriving in the UK.
Who needs to register?
Appendix 2 of the Immigration Rules states that nationals of the following countries must register with the police:

It should also say on your Entry Clearance vignette (the visa sticker in your passport) whether or not you need to register with the police.
How do I register?
- Police Registration in London is carried out at the Overseas Visitor Records Office (OVRO). The Metropolitan Police website gives instructions for how to register via the OVRO.
- Once your Police Registration Certificate is issued you will need to email a photo of the certificate to visa@yorksj.ac.uk.
- If you move accommodation or any other personal details change, you need to go to the OVRO with your certificate and update your details.
