Car parking outside the library
Disabled staff and students can also apply for a University parking permit which allows them to park in various locations on the Lord Mayors Walk campus. Disabled parking permit applications are treated as priority, however they are not guaranteed due to limited availability. Please contact 01904 876953 or view our campus and residential services webpages for further information.
Access to Fountains Learning Centre
Fountains Learning Centre is spread over three floors. It is accessed via the main or back entrances of the Fountains building and is accessible via either an automatic door or a revolving door. Access to all floors is via stairs or lift. A tour of escape routes and safe havens is available.
Help using the library
If you require assistance using the Library and its resources, you can book an appointment with a member of the Service Desk Staff. Please book at least one day in advance, either by calling 01904 876696 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is useful if you give the Service Desk Staff some advance information about the resources you would like to use or the kind of help you require. If you are contacting us via e-mail please include the date and time of when you would like to have your appointment.
You may also drop in to Fountains at any time during staffed hours to request assistance. Whilst booking an appointment is not essential, we do advise that an appointment will probably be necessary during the busy months of November and May.
If you have a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) in place and are using the Library overnight or at the weekend, please could you make the Service Desk staff on duty aware that you are in the Library.
