British Library Direct

Can’t find the item you need in the library? The British Library Direct service allows you to have British Library books (as well as articles and book chapters) sent directly to your home address.

This service is available to all off-campus students and is free of charge. To register for the service, see the British Library Direct instructions.

If the item you need is not available from the British Library, it can still be requested from another library via our standard Inter Library Loans (ILL) service. However please note that ILL books cannot be sent to users' home addresses and must be collected from the Library's Service Desk. ILL articles and chapters from other libraries can be posted to you or sent electronically.
