Isabella Robinson

Student Governor

Bella is the York St John Students' Union President for 2022-2023. They were appointed to the Board of Governors on the 1 July 2022.

Originally from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, Bella has been studying Psychology with Child Development since 2020. 

Between the ages of 14 and 21 years old, Bella was a member of Suffolk County Council's Children in Care Council, working their way up to eventually becoming the Chairperson at the age of 16. They remained the Chairperson until the age of 20, at which point they chose to focus their attention on their return to education, but despite this, continues to be an advocate and source of support for care-experienced young people in Suffolk.

During their time at York St John University, Bella has been an active member of the student community, having been a student ambassador and vice-president of Musical Production Society before being elected as the President of the Students' Union.

Bella hopes to one day use their degree to become a paramedic, or to follow another medical career.
