William Jones

Hi, I’m Billy (He/Him). Most of the time I am the first point of contact for all alumni enquires.

My main role within our team though is to manage, maintain and analyse all our alumni and fundraising data. This often involves helping colleagues across the University get a better picture of alumni from their academic area, as well as sending bespoke communications out to alumni on their behalf.

I am also responsible for prospect research, which involves identifying and profiling alumni who might have a capacity and willingness to support the University, either by offering their time and expertise to help our current students, making donations to support student scholarships and other initiatives, or just by sharing their stories and memories to help us generate content for our blog, social media and newsletters. This can frequently include reconnecting alumni with specific academic departments, to help build lasting relationships.

I can also be found giving campus tours to alumni reunion groups, managing our Vice Chancellor’s scholarships, and working on initiatives to help our final year students through the transition of becoming new alumni.
