Programme Monitoring & Review

York St John has a robust system for the monitoring and review of our programmes. This ensures that all our programmes stay current; provide an excellent learning experience for students and remain a viable and valuable asset to the University.

This process is designed to:

  1. Ensure that programmes remain current and valid in light of developing knowledge in the discipline, and practice in its application.
  2. Evaluate the extent to which the intended learning outcomes are being attained by students.
  3. Evaluate the continuing effectiveness of the curriculum and of assessment in relation to the intended learning outcomes.
  4. Ensure that recommendations for appropriate actions are followed up to remedy any identified issues/concerns.
