School of Art, Design & Computer Science

T: 87 6977

I am Senior Lecturer in Moving Image, Performance & Installation at York St John University. I teach across both the Photography and Fine Art programmes.

I am a performance artist and poet who works across and between mediums including live performance, video, audio work, page based work including poetry and book-work, collage and digital projects.

My current research project explores the role of the voice and sound in action-oriented performance art and proposes a revival and redefinition of the term ‘Action Poetry’.

Alongside artist Victoria Gray I am co-director of Oui Performance, an artist-led organisation dedicated to the research and presentation of performance art both in the UK and internationally.
