I am a skilled Lecturer and Developer with eight years plus experience in Academia, and eighteen years prior experience in the game industry, working on a number of ‘AAA’ projects including Theme Park, the original Tomb Raider series of games, and more recently as Design Lead on Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers. I am experienced across a number of Game Development disciplines, previously lecturing content at Leeds Beckett and NHTV University of Applied Sciences (top rated programme in the Netherlands 2014) including modules such as Serious and applied games, Experimental games, Advanced puzzle design, Level design, Low Poly modelling, Game Programming basics (C#), Animation principles, Paper prototyping, Horror setpiece design, Game Design fundamentals, and Visual scripting. Students taught by myself have been successful in finding Game Development careers in companies as diverse as Guerrilla Games, Ubisoft, Larian studios, DICE, and Frictional games.
